How do I collect RSVPs for a dinner party online?
Make the dinner invitation on lal.so, set the RSVP options on the same screen, then share one link. Guests tap Attending or Not Attending and type their name. Every reply goes into one guest list for that invitation.
Set up the dinner invitation
- Tap Create Now and type the name of your dinner.
- Tap Set a date... and pick the day. The time is set to 7:00 PM, and you can change it under Time. Tap Done.
- Tap Location and type the name of the restaurant or the address. Pick it from the suggestions and tap Save.
- Add details guests need for a dinner with Dress Code, Food or Parking under the location.
Choose your RSVP settings
- Tap RSVP Settings above the Attending and Not Attending buttons.
- Tap the value beside Capacity and type how many guests you can seat, for example 20.
- Under Plus Ones, choose No +1s or how many extra people each guest can bring, from Up to 1 to Up to 9.
- For a reply deadline, tap the value beside RSVP Deadline and pick a date and a time. Otherwise keep No deadline.
- To ask guests something, such as a meal choice or an allergy, open Collect Info and tap Add Question.
Share the link and watch the replies
Save the invitation and share its link, as described in How do I share my invitation as a link?. Guests reply with their name, without an account, as described in Can guests RSVP without an app or an account?.
To see the replies, open the invitation and tap the Going count on the right. The Guest List panel opens with two tabs, Going and Can't Go. At the bottom, Total Responses shows the number of replies and the number of guests. In My Events, each invitation card also shows how many guests are going.
Frequently asked questions
Can guests bring someone with them?
Yes, if you allow it. Open RSVP Settings in your invitation and choose a number next to Plus Ones, from Up to 1 to Up to 9. The number of guests under Total Responses counts the extra people too, which helps when you book a table.
Where do I see the messages guests write?
Open the invitation and tap the Going count to open the Guest List. Each guest has a row with their name. Tap the arrow on a row to open it. If the guest wrote a message with their reply, it appears under Well wishes. If they did not, the row reads No additional information. The Can't Go tab works the same way.
Can I change how the RSVP buttons look?
The menu next to RSVP Settings in the editor sets the style of the two buttons guests tap to reply. A new invitation starts with Check. The other styles are Thumbs, Heart, Star and Party, each with its own pair of icons for attending and not attending.
